IT Category Manager - Up to £85,000 - Hybrid

Job Title: IT Category Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Bristol (hybrid, 2 days on-site per week)

Contract Duration: 9–12 months

Salary: Up to £85,000 Per annum, dependent on experience

About the Role:

Are you experienced in IT procurement, supporting initiatives such as software, unified Communications, SaaS, digital data, and cloud migration?

We are partnered with A leading financial services organisation who is seeking an IT Category Manager to join our Procurement team on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will manage and implement the UK & Ireland Procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with FCA/PRA requirements, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, assess, and challenge business requirements.
  • Coordinate the delivery of processes and initiatives, establishing best-in-class policies, processes, or services.
  • Develop and implement the Category Strategy when not supported by a Global Category Manager.
  • Manage UK&I Procurement processes, policies, and procedures (e.g., RFP, RFI) in line with local and Group requirements.
  • Negotiate and implement contracts for IT Categories, ensuring compliance with agreed service, performance, quality, and delivery levels.
  • Understand budget approaches with Finance and business budget owners to ensure budget definition, Utilisation, optimisation, and compliance.
  • Utilise procurement tools and best practices to increase efficiency and quality, contributing to procurement savings and KPI objectives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Recent experience in supporting IT initiatives, including software, unified communications, SaaS, digital data, and cloud migration.
  • Experience supporting a broader range of indirect categories.
  • A team player focused on ensuring the success and respect of the procurement team across different functions.
  • CIPS qualifications would be desirable
  • An understanding of FCA / PRA regulations
