Your new role
- Develop and design mechanical systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Produce detailed design packages, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other building services.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of mechanical installations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within the building services sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
