Your new role

  • Develop and design mechanical systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Produce detailed design packages, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other building services.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of mechanical installations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within the building services sector.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
