Interim Procurement Lead - Client Procurement Projects

Your new company

Have you ever considered working for a procurement consultancy in London? If so, please read on. We are working with a fast-growing procurement consultancy in the heart of London where travel to client sites is still London based (and infrequent). This company is in scale-up stage with a small but mighty procurement function serving a range of high-profile projects within the infrastructure/ construction/ utilities sectors.

Your new role

As the Interim Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for creating and driving procurement strategies, ensuring all processes are followed from market analysis through to contract performance. You will be responsible for leading supplier bids, negotiations, and contract suitability on behalf of your clients in order to drive the best performance outcomes. Your projects will be varied in this role and some clients may simply want market analysis, risk assessment, or supply chain compliance reviews. Therefore, this role can be very varied. In this procurement lead position, you will be client facing, and therefore you will have partial responsibility for cross-selling and further sales opportunities depending on the client’s needs.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience of large-scale procurement projects within construction/ utilities/ infrastructure/ engineering/ transportation industries, exceeding £200m in value. You will also have exposure to public sector regulations and frameworks.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive either a daily rate or an annual salary, whichever you prefer. The role is a long-term contract to deliver on client projects and there is a chance for this role to go perm shout you wish. If you work on a daily rate through Hays you will have access to the Hays worker portal, where you can access retail discounts and online training courses for free.
