Expert Company Lawyer (Interim Role), 3 to 6 Months - Start Date: ASAP
I am currently working with a client who is seeking a highly skilled Company Lawyer to join their team on an interim basis. This role is essential for providing comprehensive legal advice on matters related to companies owned by local authorities. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in procurement law and state aid, ensuring that legal practices align with necessary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal guidance and control aspects, members' agreements, funding, and governance arrangements.
- Collaborate effectively with statutory officers and relevant personnel to facilitate clear communication and ensure legal compliance.
- Analyse and interpret complex legal issues related to public sector procurement and state aid.
- Support the development and implementation of legal frameworks that govern local authority-owned companies.
- Offer proactive legal support and risk assessment to prevent potential legal challenges.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Company Lawyer, with a focus on local authority matters.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement law and state aid regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
