Interim Financial Accountant job in Plymouth

Interim Financial Accountant
Location: Plymouth Area of Devon
Type: Full-Time (1 day WFH per week)
Rate: £250 - £350 per day
Duration: Interim, at least 6 months on a day rate basis
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role: Hays are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join our clients large manufacturing organisation which is based in the Plymouth area of Devon. This is a full-time role with the flexibility of working from home one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS (must have)
  • Managing tax and compliance requirements
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks

Requirements:
  • Proven experience with IFRS, statutory accounts, tax, and compliance
  • Ideally fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), but QBE (Qualified by Experience) candidates will also be considered
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
