Your new company
Based in Manchester, this organisation is uniquely placed to offer solutions within the specialist sector it operates in. It has an established client base and a strong international presence. The legal department is looking for a talented and driven in-house contracts manager who wants to develop their commercial law experience in-house with a UK based business.

Your new role
You will join a small commercial team, working closely with the senior management. Your duties will include taking ownership of the contract management system, liaising with external lawyers and advising the leadership team on improvements around contract management as well as making sure renewals and terminations are handled efficiently. You will also get involved with basic drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, legal research as well as working closely with the business on legal projects and providing advice.

You must have a strong appreciation for contract law with a good legal understanding, either from previous paralegal / legal assistant experience or from your law degree / LPC / GDL studies. You will have excellent academics and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
