Standalone HR Manager needed for a fnancial services firm in London

You will be working for a financial services firm in London

This role will operate on a hybrid working model with an expectation to be in their London offices 3 days per week and the remaining 2 days as WFH

Your new role
You will be working as a Temporary Standalone HR Manager for an initial 6 month period to cover a maternity leave however this is very likely to extend.

This role is suitable for some who is Level 5 CIPD qualified with at least three years of relevant experience. They are looking for someone who is confident and driven, looking for a challenge to bring their HR knowledge and experience to develop our current systems and policies as the business and team grows. You would be expected to maintain an effective HR operations and support the senior management team in advancing our HR policies and practices. Additionally, you will manage and oversee two experienced office administrators.

The key role responsibilities include:
  • Provide a full spectrum of HR support to senior management team and ensure the Company operates in line with UK & Irish employment laws and HR practices.
  • Lead the day to day HR operations including onboarding & offboarding staff, absences, holiday, staff benefits employee issues and ensure all recruitment contracts, handbooks, policies and notices are kept up to date.
  • Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Manage and maintain the HR systems and supporting the health and safety aspects in the office.
  • First point of contact for any HR issues and act as a point of escalation for any office related issues.
  • Lead and support the office administration team including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Supporting the senior management team in decision-making processes.
  • Manage and administer UK and Irish payroll and contractors’ invoices.
  • Working closely with Finance team on payroll and other payments.
  • Manage and oversee the performance review process for employees
  • Manage and oversee the annual compensation process working closely with senior management and Finance team.
  • I dentify opportunities to develop staff members’, performance and their retention and support the senior management team in the delivery of these processes.
  • Support the senior management team with effectively identify training needs for their teams..
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects as required (e.g. office moves, and reviewing vendor contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a stand-alone HR role and will be at least CIPD Level 5 qualified.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a daily rate based on an annual salary of between £50,000 - £55,000 depending on previous experience.
