Head of Performance and Reward

Contract: FTC until June 2026

Salary: £66,000 - £75,000

Location: Hybrid working, City of London

Are you an experienced reward professional ready to take the lead in governance, compliance, and policy development within a corporate People & HR function? We have aprtnered with one of ou long term clients to support the recruitment for their reward transformation project team, this role offers the opportunity to drive best practices and ensure effective governance in job evaluation, pay, and grading frameworks.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and ensure the effective delivery of governance processes related to job evaluation, pay, and grading frameworks
  • Maintain consistency and transparency in evaluations, introduce and oversee governance protocols, and provide expert advice on organisational design initiatives
  • Provide specialist guidance to lead HR policy development within reward and job evaluation.
  • Work closely with the Policy & Industrial Relations Lead to review and develop policies, ensuring timely consultation with trade unions and adherence to governance standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in job evaluation methodologies and align outcomes within the governance framework
  • Champion a quality improvement approach, ensuring excellence in all aspects of reward governance and policy development.

What We’re Looking For:


  • Proven experience in job evaluation governance, reward management, and policy development.
  • Experience of using Hay Evaluation mythologies, REMCO and being based in a unionised environment
  • Strong knowledge of pay frameworks, compliance, and organisational design principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including trade unions, to drive policy improvements.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and maintaining best practices in governance and assurance.
