Head of Governance and Compliance for a wonderful UK Charity
Your new company

Your new role
This role sits at the heart of the organisation, leading on and ensuring best practice in all governance and compliance related matters, reporting directly to their Director of Finance. You will develop and implement monitoring and reporting policies, work closely with senior teams to enhance governance standards, and support Trustees, Clerks and Local Governing Bodies with high-quality information and guidance. You will ensure the organisation consistently complies with the Charity Governance Code, and Department of Education Governance requirements. On top of this, you will have a voice and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, line manage a direct governance report and support with financial planning.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be CGI qualified or significantly qualified by experience in charity governance, demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations. You will have worked closely with senior stakeholders, and have a proven track record of successful relationship management with strong people and communication skills. You will have experience of data protection and safeguarding, having worked in a similar environment.
