Group Finance Manager
A leading commercial business, operating at scale across multiple locations, is seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Manager to oversee financial operations and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of a dynamic organisation with strong growth prospects.
Your new role
As Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the business, leading a team and ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making. You will provide financial leadership, manage group consolidation, and drive operational efficiencies across departments.
Key Responsibilities: Statutory & Group Financial Reporting – Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and group financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP. Budgeting & Forecasting – Oversee the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting. Strategic Financial Planning – Provide financial insights to support business growth and investment decisions. Process & Systems Improvement – Drive efficiency improvements in financial processes and reporting. Cash Flow & Treasury Management – Ensure strong cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning. Leadership & Team Management – Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering high performance and career development. Management of Transactional Finance Team – Oversee transactional finance functions, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
✅ Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP. ✅ Proven experience in statutory and group financial reporting. ✅ Ability to partner with senior stakeholders to drive financial strategy. ✅ Strong leadership skills with experience managing a finance team. ✅ Expertise in financial systems and process improvement.
