Graduate/Junior Mechanical Engineer – Co Down & Co Louth

Your new role

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your career in a supportive and innovative environment. You will be involved in a variety of projects across Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) and NI Water sites. The role is primarily site-based with occasional travel to head office.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and management of M&E projects.
  • Work on several water industry frameworks, including Civils, Reservoirs, and Dams.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Prepare and review project documentation and reports.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • Good understanding of M&E principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Water industry experience is a bonus.
  • Valid UK or Irish driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites
