Graduate Insurance Analyst – based in Croydon – Up to £30,000

Your new company

Your new company are an insurance firm that handles some of the largest risks across the globe including Cyber, Energy and Marine. Their business model creates engaged business units, who aim to deliver best in class service to all their stakeholders. They are part of a wider Group with offices across London and Bermuda. Due to an expansion within their team, a position for an Insurance Analyst has arisen in their Croydon office.

Your new role

Your new permanent job working as an Insurance Analyst is an entry level position that will provide an exciting opportunity to study for your ACCA qualification (supported by the company) whilst gaining work experience along the way. You will report into the Financial Operations Manager and can fast track your career and challenge yourself daily. Duties will include working with the finance team to deliver a suite of monthly management accounts, working with the technical services team to ensure that insurance premiums are paid and reconciled on a timely basis, Bordereaux production and transactional reporting, Sales Ledger system reconciliations, regular operational and financial reporting. Further duties include reporting to relevant financial regulators, Audit process support, Statutory Accounts production, ad hoc business support and financial analysis and any other duties assigned by your line manager.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be Degree educated with a minimum of a 2:1 in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Science or Business-related subjects. You will have strong written and spoken communication skills, ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities, strong analytical, research and reporting skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, willingness to work extended hours. You will be analytical with strong attention to detail, ability to support success and timely delivery in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, have personal drive and resilience in established and new/changing situations, a team player with a strong interest in the performance of the business, commercially savvy, bright, energetic and positive with a ‘can do’ attitude and focus on getting things done.
