Hays Construction are currently representing a client who require the services of a skilled Finishing Foreperson to join them on their latest project. This firm has been established for over 30 years, delivering medium-scale design & build works across a range of sectors. They regularly carry out works in commercial, residential, healthcare, education, sports & leisure. This is a family-run firm with ethical and personable values. They require a Finishing Foreperson to oversee the internals package of an industrial scheme, initially on a temporary basis.

Your new role

Due to a demanding programme of works, this contractor requires an experienced Finishing Foreperson to join them for an initial temporary period, delivering internal finishes to an education scheme in the border counties. As Finishing Foreperson, you will be expected to lead with daily briefings, overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operation on the ground. You will be required to have excellent communication skills along with the ability to motivate a site team and subcontractors to maximise productivity each day. You will be responsible for keeping the schedule of works on track, liaising with the project team to ensure client time and budget targets are met, along with upholding health and safety standards.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to carry out this role to the level expected, you will be required to have excellent technical ability along with being health & safety focused. You will have a proven track record of overseeing fast-paced finishing schemes, whilst lending your expertise to the on-site team to ensure the project is delivered to specification. You will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and leadership ability. Furthermore, you must hold a valid CSR (Site Supervisor), CSCS or SMSTS certification.
