Your new role
As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be instrumental in enhancing their business and financial decision-making processes. Your role will involve a deep dive into margins, sales analysis, and the commercial performance of products. You will be responsible for updating rolling forecasts and annual budgets, considering various trends, initiatives, and risks.
Your duties will also include assisting the team in formulating business cases, pricing propositions, and initiatives, and conducting post-implementation reviews. You will ensure the provision of accurate P&Ls that capture relevant drivers, such as contract provisions and rates.
You will closely monitor performance, investigate variances in the plan, and provide insightful commentary for stakeholders. You will also assist in the development of business case propositions and innovative projects, and proactively support the Head of FP&A and other finance colleagues in achieving departmental objectives.
A significant part of your role will be to act as a bridge between the finance department and the rest of the business, ensuring that financial considerations are factored into all business decisions. You will also partner with sales teams to drive business performance. This role requires a deep understanding of the commercial aspects of the products and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with financial services experience. Furthermore, you have commercial and FP&A analyses. You will be eager to learn and grow in this high-calibre environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills when liaising with different teams.
