Your New Role

As a field service engineer you will be engaged in preventative and reactive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, while also being involved in installations, when required.

Whilst working your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Service and maintain/repair existing equipment in a timely manner • Installation of new equipment and all ancillary equipment • Maintain equipment and manage stock in van, including stock takes • Responsible for running and maintenance of vehicle, including associated start-up checks • Adhere to the company’s health, safety, environmental and personal standards policies.

Ensure accurate and full record keeping of all work is carried out • Care for tools and equipment provided, ensuring that on completion of a task that equipment and/or work area is left in a clean and safe condition. • Work as part of an inter-dependent team with flexibility to take on all other reasonable tasks, including availability for emergency breakdown cover, and rota for weekend and evening repair work as required • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Manager.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Refrigeration or electrical engineering experience (highly desirable) • Familiarity with agri-environment and maintenance experience (essential) • Willingness to work flexible hours on occasions, such as on-call rota • A clean driving licence.

What You'll Get In Return

For working a standard 37-hour week (core hours Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00) you will earn a salary of up to £40000 (DoE). The salary is supplemented with enhanced OT rates of 1.5 and 2.0 and above standard holiday days entitlement. An on-call bonus is paid whilst on rota + a day in lieu. There is no personal use with the company van.
