Exams officer needed for a long-term temporary role in St Helens

Your new school
Hays education are proudly supporting a highly rated high school in St Helens with recruitment of an exam officer on a temporary contract basis up until the end of the academic year.

Your new role
In the role of an examinations officer, you will be expected to manage the examination entry process. This will mean ensuring all the exam entries are registered as required by the exam board. You will need to liaise with the faculty staff and senior leadership team to ensure that the exam entry process runs as smoothly as possible. You will also be trusted to manage the administration of all internal and external examinations, the results process and organising special arrangements. This role will require a high level of competency and organisation skills as you will be responsible for the management of the examination budget and recruitment of examination staff such as invigilators.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful with your application you will need;
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Minimum educational qualifications of 2 A-levels or equivalent
  • Relevant NNA qualifications not essential but desirable
  • Great communications as you will be expected to liaise with school employees, leaders and external agencies
  • Be able to exercise training and motivational skills in relation to team members
  • Be well-organised and able to work to deadlines
  • You must be able to work on your own initiative with little to no close supervision.
  • You will need to have experience administering the modern examination system, setting up and operating the Arbor system.
  • Experience of analysing and producing reports based on school data will also be desirable.
