Your new role
The assigned contractor will report directly to the Programme Director and will be required to provide regular progress updates, participate in steering group meetings as required, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders throughout the duration of the engagement.

Project Deliverables include:

Finance process documentation and redesign recommendations.

ERP finance requirements and configuration specifications.

Contributions to the Business Case for a future programme

What you'll need to succeed

Offer knowledge and expertise across a broad spectrum of Finance and Procurement disciplines and have detailed knowledge of at least one Cloud ERP Platform.
Offering knowledge of the operation of finance and procurement processes in the UK HE sector would be a distinct advantage.
Collaboration with key stakeholders to define finance transformation objectives, scope, and success criteria. Assessment of existing finance processes, systems, and organisational structure to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Work closely with other Leads to understand cross-functional requirements of any future finance process redesign, system configuration, data migration, and change management activities etc.
Define finance capability needs and detailed requirements for a potential ERP solution. This may include chart of accounts design, financial reporting requirements, budgeting and forecasting processes, internal controls.
Work closely with ERP vendors, system integrators, and internal teams to ensure the Business develops a solid understanding of the ERP market and can make good decisions that could lead to a successful ERP implementation.
Provide leadership and guidance to finance team members throughout the scoping exercise, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
