Your new school

I am recruiting for a large school in Cardiff which is looking for a teacher of English to join their department in September. The staff and leadership team have a clear vision with the purpose of creating a positive learning environment for all pupils. The facilities in the school are excellent and the school constantly strive for success.

Your new role

Starting in September, you will work as part of the English department made up of a group of specialist teachers. You will be responsible for full teaching responsibilities for (including planning and preparation) for a full time English Timetable. You will be responsible for setting work and marking whilst carrying out any pastoral duties that may arise.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching English in a secondary school. You must hold QTS – TEFL or ESOL teachers are not suitable unless also possessing PGCE in English.

You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check or are willing to get one.
