Seeking an experienced Interim EMEA Indirect Category Manager for a 6-month hybrid contract in Bedfordshire

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading organisation’s procurement strategy on a 6-month contract basis. Seeking candidate with experience of managing Indirect categories in a manufacturing environment where you will be covering a range of categories including MRO, PPE, Packaging and FM

Your new role

As the Interim EMEA Indirect Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing and assuring supply, leading the category management lifecycle process for regional categories, and supporting global-led strategies. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing category management strategies.
  • Managing supplier relationships and ensuring business continuity.
  • Leading performance management processes for regional suppliers.
  • Collaborating with global counterparts to execute global category strategies.
  • Analysing market conditions and making informed decisions based on market intelligence.
This hybrid role requires you to be on-site in Bedfordshire for 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of five years of progressively increasing responsibility in Sourcing, Category Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Management Consulting, or business-related operations in a global environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience with indirect categories in a manufacturing business including MRO, PPE, Packaging and FM
  • Deep understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management principles.
  • Advanced financial analytical skills and experience in enhancing value through negotiations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
