EHS Specialist

Hays Health & Safety are excited to be working with a growing, environmentally conscious company in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.

If you are an EHS expert with experience as an Advisor/Manager in an intense manufacturing setting looking for extra responsibilities and scope to potentially grow into a global role then this is the role for you.

The role

Build a strong safety culture within the UK operation, with responsibility for producing the EHS training guide and supporting on EHS strategy
Define and prevent risk for employees and guests, partner with HR and site management to limit risk on site
Meet all EHS reporting requirements and meet ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications by developing audit programmes and sustainability reports
Investigate all incidents relating to EHS and implement necessary corrective actions
Support site teams to improve EHS performance by setting a behavioural-led culture

What you will need

A Degree or equivalent qualification in occupational safety
Experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting as a Health and Safety Manager/Advisor
Must have a valid driving licence
Extensive environmental knowledge ideally partnered with an environmental qualification

What’s on offer?

A salary of £42k - £45k DOE
23-day holiday plus bank holidays and the option to buy more
