EHS Specialist

Hays Health & Safety are excited to be working with a growing, environmentally conscious company in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.

If you are an EHS expert with experience as an Advisor/Manager in an intense manufacturing setting looking for extra responsibilities and scope to potentially grow into a global role then this is the role for you.

The role

  • Build a strong safety culture within the UK operation, with responsibility for producing the EHS training guide and supporting on EHS strategy
  • Define and prevent risk for employees and guests, partner with HR and site management to limit risk on site
  • Meet all EHS reporting requirements and meet ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications by developing audit programmes and sustainability reports
  • Investigate all incidents relating to EHS and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Support site teams to improve EHS performance by setting a behavioural-led culture

What you will need

  • A Degree or equivalent qualification in occupational safety
  • Experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting as a Health and Safety Manager/Advisor
  • Must have a valid driving licence
  • Extensive environmental knowledge ideally partnered with an environmental qualification
