Early Years Teacher needed at lovely Wakefield Nursery School

This nursery school is looking for a qualified, enthusiastic, committed and motivated Teacher to join their dedicated Early Years team. This is a full-time post with the potential to work across the 2 school sites. Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Delivery: Design and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children’s development across all areas, including communication, physical, social, and emotional skills.
  • Observation and Assessment: Regularly observe and assess children’s progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Parent Partnership: Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular feedback on their child’s progress and involving them in their learning journey.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and secure environment, following safeguarding procedures and promoting well-being.
  • Curriculum Enhancement: Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum, incorporating play-based learning, outdoor exploration, and creative experiences.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices, attend training sessions, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance your teaching skills.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant degree (e.g., Early Childhood Education) and Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Passion: A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Creativity: Bring imagination and creativity to your teaching, making learning fun and engaging.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to the dynamic needs of our nursery environment.
