This primary school in Croydon is looking for a dedicated Early Years Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a 12-month maternity cover position, providing a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and innovative community.
Your New Role
As Early Years Class Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. You will deliver engaging lessons, tailored to the unique developmental needs of young learners, ensuring they receive the strong foundation they need to succeed.
What You'll Need to Succeed
•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an undergraduate degree.
•Successful experience teaching the primary curriculum, specifically Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
•Strong understanding of child development and progression and how this informs lesson planning.
•Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies, ensuring high rates of progress for children in EYFS.
•Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
•Understanding of equal opportunity principles and how they are applied in schools.
