Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a local council to recruit a Destination Parks Site Manager. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to take the lead in shaping the future of some of the city’s most valued parks and green spaces.

About the Role:
As the Destination Parks Site Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of key parks within the council’s portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of these vital community assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a long-term vision and operational plan for allocated parks and green spaces, aligned with city-wide priorities.
  • Oversee infrastructure improvements, conservation projects, and initiatives to enhance park assets and biodiversity.
  • Create engaging, inclusive visitor experiences that attract diverse audiences and encourage repeat visits.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders to co-create events, activities, and initiatives that reflect local needs and aspirations.

    ✅ What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience in parks or green space management, ideally within a local authority or public sector setting.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • A passion for community engagement and environmental stewardship.
  • Ability to manage budgets, contractors, and multiple priorities effectively.
