Deputy Head of Asset Management required by Alpha Housing on a permanent basis

Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, Alpha Housing, to recruit a Deputy Head of Asset Management on a permanent basis.

The Association’s property portfolio has grown to c. 1,000 units and includes sheltered residential schemes and general family homes.

Your new role

Principally, you will have responsibility for the delivery of the Planned Maintenance programme, including stock condition surveys, as well as Alpha’s sustainability / carbon reduction efforts. You will also assist the Head of Asset Management with overseeing response maintenance and managing the Assets team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance programmes and services are delivered effectively and ensuring the promotion of an excellent customer-focused services to the Association’s tenants, and other key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

A third level qualification in a relevant subject, e.g. Surveying, Building or Engineering with a minimum of three years’ experience gained in a housing, building or related organisation with the ability to demonstrate specific experience in the management of a response, planned and cyclical maintenance programme.
Knowledge of NHF and NEC3 contracts.
A thorough understanding of current Building Regulations and Health and Safety legislation.
A high level of communication skills with a strong ability to influence and communicate with a range of individuals and stakeholders.
Excellent customer focus to effectively address the needs of internal and external customers.
Strong organisation skills to work in a pressurised environment, prioritising the workload to meet targets and achieve results.
