Job role
We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our wonderful school and work with our exceptional learners and staff. We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Data and Timetabling Coordinator to report on learner development and progress, with responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of school reports in relation to data.
The appointed person will play a key role in managing school data systems, timetabling, and student progress tracking. You will ensure the accuracy of data reporting, coordinate assessments, support examination processes, and collaborate closely with leadership and teaching staff. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong IT and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate and train staff effectively.
The successful candidate will have:
● Strong accuracy and attention to detail
● Knowledge of a range of different school data systems, including MIS, Progress and Data tracking, Timetabling and assessments. Or aptitude and willingness to learn
● Ability to use complex formulae in spreadsheets including lookups, conditional statements and pivot tables.
● Experience of working with young people with SEMH (desirable)
● Experience of working in schools or educational setting (desirable)
● Be inquisitive, organised and energetic, with a good sense of humour
Main responsibilities include:
● Create, use and analyse spreadsheets and other data systems effectively
● Be able to present data in different formats and for different audiences as required
● Maintain and analyse student progress data and school reports
● Track patterns and generate insights from data
● Support staff in using data systems, including School pod and Google Sheets
● Create and manage whole-school timetables using ASC Timetables
● Assist Exams Officer with the administration of formal exams
As the school group have converted to the use of the Google Suite, the successful candidate will be exceptional at using Google Sheets, including pivot tables, c conditional statements and formulae to interrogate data.
About Wilds Lodge
Wilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day learners only) for learners aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland. All the learners at the school have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
It was established in 2007 and aims to place an equal emphasis on the educational, social and psychological development of our learners.
The key to the success of the school is a strong ethos, developed by a highly experienced and capable staff, and the strength of the relationships between the staff and the learners.
We are a friendly school where staff are supportive of each other inside and outside of the classroom. We pride ourselves in ensuring all members of staff including our support staff have access to regular training.
All our members of staff attend regular training on child protection; mental health and multi-agency working. All staff access a wide range of training on areas of SEN such as Autism, attachment and ADHD.
