Credit Risk Officer - Remote/Office Hybrid Working - Gloucester, Gloucestershire - Permanent - Hays

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a leading financial services group based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire to recruit a dynamic and experienced Credit Risk Officer to join their dynamic and growing team. With customers across various sectors including the agricultural and construction sectors, you will independently make decisions on complex, high-limit credit applications for asset finance proposals following credit guidelines, policies, and procedures. Your new role

Your key duties will involve evaluating financial statements and other customer information to approve or decline moderately complex, higher-limit asset finance proposals, according to guidelines, policies, and procedures. Review/authorise additional transactions against the customer's current credit limit, maintain and improve the overall performance, and assist with solving problems, answering questions, and coaching dealers/merchants with completing financial documentation and occasionally help with collections. You will develop/maintain business relationships both internally and externally, assist in training/coaching others within the team, and be actively involved in process improvement, along with opportunities to work on international projects. You will market/promote the use of sales finance projects/systems to external customers, and your duties will develop as you grow within the role.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Credit Risk Officer role you will need experience within a similar position, ideally with credit underwriting knowledge or related experience. Strong communication and relationship building skills to partner both internally and with external clients/customers. Experience analysing financial statements and credit applications, along with strong team management and organisation skills. You will be willing to learn and be comfortable working in a team environment, but also using your own initiative. You will be qualified by experience or have achieved a degree in Business Management/Accounting/Finance. Experience within the Asset Finance sector, compliance processes, and dealings with the FCA would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Credit Risk Officer role is offering a salary between £32,000 - £39,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, plus an annual company bonus.
