Commissioning Manager required for a Major Healthcare Project in Belfast

An award-winning Top Tier Contractor, experiencing continuous growth and an enviable client base throughout the UK&I, is seeking a Commissioning Manager to manage the commissioning processes for a multi-million-pound major healthcare project in Belfast.

Your new role

  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of all M&E commissioning activities on the project(s), ensuring successful completion according to the programme.
  • Manage specialist subcontractors.
  • Regularly report and attend meetings, demonstrating computer literacy.
  • Interact with the client and their representatives professionally and positively, representing the company in a best practice setting.
  • Review and approve concise commissioning method statements.
  • Witness on-site testing and report findings.
  • Review and comment on the quality of M&E installations during the installation phase.
  • Review and comment on the design of services in relation to the specific discipline.
  • Manage trade contractors' obligations to commission and deliver specific services, in line with the scope of works.
  • Coordinate, integrate, and manage commissioning/testing activities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Industry-recognised qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical installation/engineering.
  • Experience in commissioning commercial systems.
  • Previous experience as a Commissioning Manager.
  • Ability to understand system complexities to ensure appropriate resource allocation and development.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through high volumes of information to resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with and advise staff at all levels.
  • Results-focused, striving to achieve personal goals and deadlines. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence.
