Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a variety of building surveying projects, providing expert advice on property and construction matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
- Deliver projects from inception to completion to meet the projects objectives.
- Dilapidations and negotiating the repair works or a financial settlement if required.
- Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience of defect analysis, undertaking building surveys and producing professional reports.
- To diligently handle all instructions and to maintain comprehensive records for all work undertaken.
- Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes.
Contract Administration. - Dilapidation Assessment Reports on behalf of Landlord and Tenant.
- Schedules of Condition.
- Assisting with managing and training a small team
- Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- MRICS qualified.
- 5 years postgraduate experience in building surveying.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
- Competitive salary of between £50,000-£65,000 (depending on experience), Company bonus scheme and Car.
