CHARLES RIVER SME SUPPORT ANALYST | IT SUPPORT | LONDON | CIRCA 85K | FINANCIAL SERVICES

You’ll be working with a leading UK-based fund manager, offering a range of funds which invest in the UK, Europe, United States and across the world. They are a dedicated, active investment house, specialising in investment management for both retail investors, as well as institutional investors. Your company activities seek to promote the long-term success of the investments they make on behalf of their clients.

Your new role:
The focus will be mainly Charles River (customisation, upgrades, new workflows, long term solutions to issues, relationship management of Charles River as a vendor), however could be there to support further business knowledge growth on other projects which may include Investment Risk, Performance, Data, Distribution and Regulation.
  • Will be a Support Analyst/Business Analyst – starting off with 70% Support/30% Business Analysis, with the intention to move to 60%/40% over time.
  • Putting a new service in place so that there will also be some external support service for CR to back this person up. Users
    based in London and Edinburgh.
  • Tasks will include issue resolution, training, some trade floor support, and business analysis work on projects.
  • Handling escalated issues relating to applications or services through to resolution.
  • Proactively perform maintenance activities, while deploying and documenting technical solutions.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with team members to build and develop new functionality and processes.
  • Working with the business to develop the operational processes and controls, including definition of detailed process flows that will be used in conjunction with applications to ensure that the business can operate on an efficient basis with operational risks controlled in an appropriate manner.
  • Responsible for the definition and execution of business implementation activities and closely involved with IT implementation activities, including appropriate training of Business and IT support teams.

Candidate profile:
  • You must have expert experience working with Charles River
  • Fixed income experience is highly needed, along with equity experience
  • Experience working as a ‘Front Office Support analyst’ is preferred.
  • An interest in Business Analysis is a bonus.
  • Demonstratable ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels to develop requirements to develop technical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service orientation.
  • Certifications are highly regarded.
  • The ability to quickly learn, implement, and utilise new technologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving. Combines and organise information into meaningful patterns; identifies underlying relationships, causes and effects; and combines pieces of information to form conclusions or general rules for communication. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented. Consistently takes a thorough, accurate, organised and quality-centred approach

  • Self-learning mindset. Desires to learn new skills and is willing to share knowledge within the team

  • Candidates should be strongly motivated by the company’s development mission and ideally demonstrate some commitment to development or social goals through previous executive or non-executive activity.
