Your new role

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing an efficient materials purchasing process. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing all procurement duties and exercises.
• Staying updated on new materials in the market.
• Scheduling and placing material and plant orders with suppliers.
• Attending internal pre-start and team meetings.
• Checking drawings for discrepancies and ensuring compliance with material specifications.
• Producing material cost schedules and budgets.
• Assessing supplier quotations and placing orders.
• Reporting material cost increases.
• Providing site material accruals monthly.
• Compiling quarterly material valuations.
• Resolving invoice queries.
• Conducting material checks on-site and producing reports.
• Raising office and Sales and Marketing orders.


What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Buyer within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and material specifications.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
