Binding Authority Technician, working for an independent Lloyd’s Broker

Your new company

Your new company is an Independent Lloyd’s based in the City of London. They deliver specialist insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets advisory services. Your highly respected broker is renowned globally for their specialist market knowledge, intelligent analysis, and insight. They are on the hunt for a bright individual to join the Delegated Authority and Binding Authority Technical team.

Your new job
Your new job working as a Binding Authority Technician or a Delegated Authority Technician within their North American coverholder team means you will be responsible for providing the technical support to the placement of Binding Authorities and programmes for Coverholders around the world, with an emphasis on North America. You will be responsible for dealing with all aspects of the premium processing, claims and accounting process and assessing and processing premium movements. Other duties will include; producing and sending client/market documents (MRC Slips) and dealing with market and/or client queries and liaising with the accounts department to ensure prompt payment of balances and claims.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will ideally have proven experience working as a Binding Authority or delegated authority technician in the Broker or Insurer space with excellent attention to detail and the ability to plan meticulously. Have excellent persuasive influencing skills. Anticipate problems in advance and make contingencies. Demonstrate the company values of being accountable, entrepreneurial, collaborative, empowering and disciplined. Along with excellent IT and organisational skills.
