Assistant Accountant Vacancy, London, Up to 37k, Entertainment Sector
REQUIREMENTS
- Part Qualified or AAT Qualified accountant
- Experience in accounts payable and project based accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in SAP by Design and Microsoft Excel
- Production experience an advantage
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCTION SUPPORT
- Support the Production Manager and Co-ordinators in London with any financial queries and reporting.
- Produce and maintain project reports to help with cash flow and profitability
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to help with future growth
PRODUCTION ACCOUNTING
- Processing multi currency bank statements into SAP
- Processing, reviewing and reconciling supplier invoices and payments
- Monitoring AP and AR ledgers, resolving queries, and maintaining relationships
- Assisting with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly revenue recognition and allocation of labour to projects
- Supporting financial reporting and management accounts preparation
- Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Provide show close reports & analysis vs bidding assumptions
- CASH MANAGEMENT
- Responsible for managing and collecting company’s cash flow
- Responsible for project payment schedules, ensuring sufficient company and project cash flows and supporting renegotiations of schedules with client as necessary
- Short term and long term cash forecasts
- PAYROLL
- Monthly payroll processing and ensuring timely payment
- Processing and checking of journal postings
- Oversee year end P60’s, P14’s & P11D’s
- Accurate & timely payment of PAYE/NIC/Apprentice Levy
- Process pension, make payment & complete compliance reports
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Agree intercompany accounts with appropriate companies
- Negotiating financing as necessary
- Help with the yearly Auditing
- Help the Finance Manager with the preparations of the yearly budgets
- Support the transition of a new division on to the group banking system
- Adhoc and Holiday support for the Accounts assistant
- Adhoc projects and group support as necessary
