This local leading manufacturing business is now looking for an Assistant Accountant to help drive the business forward following a period of growth over the last few years. Our client is recognised as a market leading supplier for a wide range of products and even with over 40 years in business they are constantly striving to growth and improve the business.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Director and forming part of the management team, the role will be responsible for the day to day financial and management accounting function, month end reporting, product costings and cost analysis, project work and performance management for the company.
The focus is on driving profitability and efficiency within the Company with responsibility for the following
• Management of day to day accounting operations
• Responsibility for VAT and PAYE processing and returns
• Assisting preparation of Year-End Accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts
• Responsibility for Debtors & Creditors ledger

What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications
•Part Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA
• Proven experience in financial accounting or management roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience of credit control
• Experience of managing full vat return cycle
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger functions.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
