Your new role
The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance and accounting functions of the organisation. This position involves various tasks related to financial record-keeping, data entry, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Data Entry:
· Accurately input financial transactions into the accounting system.
· Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Invoice Processing:
· Assist in processing and verifying invoices for accuracy.
· Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice discrepancies.
Bank Reconciliation:
· Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
· Record and categorise transactions in a timely manner.
Expense Management:
· Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Track and categorise business expenses for reporting purposes.
Assist in Month-End Closing:
· Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Prepare and organise financial reports for review.
Financial Reporting:
· Generate financial reports as requested by management.
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
Communication:
· Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information.
· Communicate effectively with team members and external parties.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organisational and time-management skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
