Asbestos Specialist required to support leading local council in Dundee for 3 Months

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asbestos Specialist to join a leading local council in Tayside. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community by managing asbestos-related issues, particularly in relation to damp and mould conditions. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting stock condition surveys over a three-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of properties for asbestos, damp, and mould.
Develop and implement effective management plans for asbestos removal and control.
Perform stock condition surveys to evaluate the overall condition of council properties.
Provide expert advice and recommendations on asbestos management and remediation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all inspections and actions taken.
Collaborate with other council departments and external contractors as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Asbestos Specialist or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of asbestos regulations and best practices.
Strong understanding of damp and mould issues and their impact on property conditions.
Excellent surveying and assessment skills.
Ability to develop and implement effective management plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications and qualifications in asbestos management.
