Job Title: Admissions and Admin Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM / 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract Type: Temporary with a view to permanent contract

We are a vibrant and inclusive school located in Tower Hamlets, dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for our students. We are currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Admissions and Admin Assistant to join our team.

Role Overview:
As an Admissions and Admin Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the admissions process, with a particular focus on Year 7 admissions. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions experience for prospective students and their families, while also providing general administrative support to the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Year 7 admissions process, including handling applications, coordinating interviews, and communicating with parents and students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all admissions-related activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the school, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with general office tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall functioning of the school.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS check (must be current).
  • Extensive experience in admissions, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • MIS knowledge (SIMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
