Accounts Assistant, 2 days in office, great opportunity for progression

Your new company
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a world-leading technology organisation as they continue to grow in size. The company is offering the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the accounting operations and play a critical part in the company’s ongoing success.

Your new role
  • Processing invoices, matching them to purchase orders.
  • Setting up payments, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Manage the finance mailbox, answer supplier queries and maintain effective communication with suppliers.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring that all outstanding balances are accurate and up to date.
  • Managing bi-monthly payment runs.
  • Assist in preparing management accounts and supporting month-end procedures.
  • Support the preparation of grant claims and assist with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that the company’s financial position is correctly represented.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant role is preferable but not required.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is preferable.
  • Clear and effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
