Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a world-leading technology organisation as they continue to grow in size. The company is offering the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the accounting operations and play a critical part in the company’s ongoing success.
Your new role
- Processing invoices, matching them to purchase orders.
- Setting up payments, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Manage the finance mailbox, answer supplier queries and maintain effective communication with suppliers.
- Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring that all outstanding balances are accurate and up to date.
- Managing bi-monthly payment runs.
- Assist in preparing management accounts and supporting month-end procedures.
- Support the preparation of grant claims and assist with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that the company’s financial position is correctly represented.
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and process improvements.
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant role is preferable but not required.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is preferable.
- Clear and effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 (Based on experience)
- Hybrid working: 2 days in office
- Annual leave: 33 days (Additional holiday available)
- Standard working hours: 9:00–5:30
