Your new role

Reporting to the finance manager, you will play a key role in supporting and managing key business relationships. You will be involved in preparing accurate, timely financial and management information. You will be responsible for day to day decisions in respect of the maintenance and monitoring of established financial systems & procedures and the nature and format of reporting to all stakeholders.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Finance team on all aspects of the team’s responsibilities including the maintenance of ledgers, preparation of financial budget packs and provision of Management Information. You will interpret and communicate the financial performance of the organisation through the preparation of regular management accounts, monitoring spending, costs and budgets and analysing the value of business activities.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a self-starter with a positive attitude and who is proactive in taking action to resolve issues or deliver tasks. You will also be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a financial or accounting subject, and have experience in management accounting and business partnering and have an attitude to continuously improving processes. You will have excellent communication skills, together with meticulous attention to detail and a flexible approach with the ability to work both independently and within a team, and to deal with multiple tasks and competing priorities.

You will also hold or be working towards a recognised financial or management accounting professional qualification, e.g. CA, ACCA or CIMA and you will have experience in a financial or management accounting role. You will also have excellent IT skills including use of the standard office applications and experience with Sage Finance accounting systems.
