KS1 Teaching Assistants required in Coventry. September starts. Full and part-time hours
Your new company
Hays Education is in partnership with many schools in Coventry and surrounding areas. We offer daily supply cover and also longer-term jobs to accommodate your needs. There are many benefits to working with Hays, including online timesheets, free training available on our easy-to-use app, and regular assignments. You will have the opportunity to work in schools local to you, and, providing you have the right skill-set, we can often place you in a school of your choice.
Your new role
Hays are currently recruiting for KS1 Teaching Assistants to start in September. You will be working across reception through to year 2, depending on the job role itself. You will be required to support the class teacher by providing general teaching assistant support to the whole class or on a 1:1/small group basis. You will work in line with the lesson plans as set by the class teacher and provide regular feedback as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You MUST have experience working with children in KS1. Teaching Assistants are in high demand, therefore it is imperative that you can go to a school and hit the ground running. You will need to be patient, passionate about the learning and development of each child, have a thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and be confident in your approach, i.e. firm but fair, caring, compassionate and show empathy.
