The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE), to recruit a joiner. Based in Portadown. This organisation has more than 85,000 properties and employs 3,000 members of staff throughout NI.

Your new role

Are you a practical, hands-on individual who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a reliable and skilled handperson to join our team and help maintain our properties with care and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Perform general repairs and maintenance across our sites
Address minor plumbing and electrical issues (where qualified)
Carry out painting, decorating, and basic carpentry
Assemble furniture, hang pictures, and change light bulbs
Support seasonal gardening and outdoor upkeep
Respond to repair requests in a timely and professional manner

What you'll need to succeed

Candidates must be trained and hold a valid Excavator card.
5+ Years' experience in a similar role
Obtain Basic Access NI
Clean Driving Licence

What you'll get in return

- 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
