SEN Health and Social Care Teacher - SEMH
Hays Education are supporting an SEN school in recruiting a Health and Social Care Teacher to work with them on a long-term basis. This role is to start in September 2025 and will continue on an ongoing basis till December in the first instance. Please find details below:
- Small SEN School based in East Birmingham, a 10-minute drive from the city centre
- School caters for children who can’t remain in mainstream due to social, emotional and mental health challenges
- Role to teach BTEC Health and Social Care from September – December 2025
- Responsibility for planning, teaching and assessment of all work
- Working in small class sizes of 5 – 10 pupils alongside a Teaching Assistant
- The role will be on a term time only temporary time sheet basis
- Pay will be at MPS plus SEN allowance
- Experience of working with children with social emotional and mental health challenges is essential
- Experience or and understanding of Team Teach or other intervention techniques is desirable, but the school will provide training on this
