Are you a passionate and creative Design Technology teacher with a specialism in Product Design? Hays Education is working in partnership with a large, forward-thinking secondary school in Liverpool to recruit a dedicated DT teacher to join their thriving department.

Your new role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology, ideally with a specialism in Product Design. The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Product Design across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to explore creativity, problem-solving, and innovation through hands-on learning.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive DT department that includes specialists across various disciplines.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values and ethos.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Product Design is highly desirable.
  • Other DT specialists (e.g., Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering) will be considered if confident teaching Product Design at KS3.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for student progress.
