Head of Estates, Priestley Multi Academy Trust,

About Your New Company
The Priestley Academy Trust is a collaborative group of six primary schools located in the Manningham area of Bradford. The Trust is committed to delivering outstanding education and fostering academic excellence, compassion, and collaboration. With a strong emphasis on respect, responsibility, and opportunity, the Trust supports a diverse and vibrant community. The estate includes a mix of modern and historic buildings, including two Grade II-listed properties, offering a unique and rewarding environment for professionals passionate about educational infrastructure.

Your New Role
As the Head of Estates, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the Trust’s physical environment. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will:
  • Lead the strategic development and operational management of the Trust’s estate.
  • Provide expert advice on estate planning, capital investment, and facilities management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance, refurbishment, and new build projects across all school sites.
  • Collaborate with site teams, senior leaders, and external contractors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective estate solutions.
This is a full-time, year-round position based within the Trust’s central team.

Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, facilities management).
  • Project management qualification.
  • Extensive senior management experience in estates/facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage complex property portfolios and budgets.

Skills and Attributes:
  • High-level planning, forecasting, and organisational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Integrity, emotional intelligence, and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
Desirable:
  • Postgraduate qualifications.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification.

Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: £47,754-£50,788 doe
  • Contract: Full-time, all year round
