An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, focusing on agency labour services across key business areas, including retail, distribution, and subsidiaries.

Your new role

As Procurement Manager, you will take the lead in developing and managing the procurement strategy for agency labour services, ensuring optimal value and efficiency. With multiple suppliers and subcategories to oversee, this is one of the largest spend areas in procurement. Your role will involve collaborating with senior stakeholders to craft and execute effective category plans aligned with strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing while maintaining operational excellence.

Establishing and maintaining strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to drive procurement strategy success.

Developing procurement strategies that support business goals and ensure sustained value.

Leading supplier reviews and resolving contract-related issues.

Implementing robust contracts across the category to manage risk effectively.

Tracking and reporting savings targets, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Contributing to ethical procurement practices, including compliance with modern slavery regulations.

Evaluating supplier sustainability to minimise risk and enhance service quality.

What you'll need to succeed

  • To excel in this role, you should have:

Strong procurement management experience, particularly in GSNFR categories or FM/Services.

Expertise in negotiating and managing large-scale, multi-million-pound sourcing events.

Excellent communication skills to foster meaningful stakeholder relationships.

Sharp commercial acumen with a broad understanding of market challenges.

The ability to influence senior colleagues and drive change.

A proactive approach, with resilience and tenacity in delivering procurement solutions.

Experience in retail procurement is advantageous but not essential—flexibility and enthusiasm to learn will be valued.

What you'll get in return

Competitive salary of up to £60,000.

Hybrid working model offering flexibility between office and remote working.

Exposure to a high-impact, strategic procurement role in a leading environment.

Opportunities to develop and implement innovative procurement solutions.

A collaborative and supportive team culture focused on continuous improvement.
