Your new role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead and manage procurement activities across the Professional Services category. This is a pivotal role within our Commercial and Procurement team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and value-for-money procurement solutions that support the organisation's strategic objectives.

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes for complex and high-value professional services contracts.
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with the Procurement Strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Procurement Act 2023, and internal governance.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on procurement best practices, market engagement, and contract management.
  • Draft and manage tender documentation, evaluation reports, and contract award recommendations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support contract management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to procurement transformation projects and innovation initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in public sector procurement, particularly within Professional Services (e.g., legal, consultancy, HR, finance).
  • Strong knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex procurement projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using e-procurement systems and tools.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPS Level 4 or above).
