Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their busy team
Duties include;
- Process payroll for a high volume of employees on a monthly basis in a team.
- Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NI, pensions in the UK).
- Handle multiple pay groups or entities if applicable.
- Maintain and update employee records (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary changes).
- Input and verify timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and other variable pay elements.
- Ensure payroll is compliant with HMRC regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit reports such as P45s, P60s, and Real Time Information (RTI) submissions.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, and tax codes.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors.
- Use payroll software to manage payroll runs.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity across systems.
- Dealing with payroll queries via telephone, email and face-to-face.
You will have;
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems.
