Our client are a leading student accommodation provider in London with multiple sites across zones 1 & 2. They are hiring Maintenance Operatives to join their in-house teams at various sites. These are static positions, and the working pattern is 5 days over 7 on a rota, typically working 1 weekend per month (with two days off during the week).

Your new role

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be working within a student accommodation site as part of the in-house maintenance team. Duties will include:

• Painting & decorating
• Tiling (replacing loose/lost tiles etc.)
• Patch plastering
• Basic carpentry (minor door repairs, handles, frames etc.)
• Basic plumbing (changing taps, leaks etc.)
• General handyperson duties (putting in kitchen appliances etc.)

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience in carrying out maintenance works, ideally within a commercial property environment. You will also require:

• Experience in some or most of the above listed duties

• Customer service skills

• Be organised, punctual and reliable
