A leading environmental solutions provider with a strong presence in the UK is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join their team. With a commitment to sustainability and compliance, this organisation has built a reputation for delivering innovative and effective environmental services across various sectors.
Your new role
Based in head offices in Lisburn, you will oversee the management of health, safety, and environmental compliance processes for the company. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Director, you will coordinate with business leaders to ensure adherence to regulations, develop and implement HSE policies, and manage workplace incidents to resolution. Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing site-specific safety plans, managing safety databases, and contributing to emergency preparedness processes. You will work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation and with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have experience within health and safety management or a number of years’ experience as an Advisor and looking to take a step up, with a proven track record of working with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and internal stakeholders. You must possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to draft reports, policies, and procedure manuals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with complex spreadsheets and databases are essential. A high level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are critical.
Candidates should be comfortable in an office environment with moderate travel to sites across the UK and ROI – whilst you will manage your own diary and travel schedule, a degree of flexibility around UK / ROI travel is essential.
