Your New Job
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. Your role may involve:
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support
  • Assisting with personal care (where required)
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Helping to deliver tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCO
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth settings)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
