Your new company

Hays are working with a public sector organisation to recruit for a temporary Training Administrative Officer.

Your new role

  • Provide general administrative support for speciality training activities.
  • Prepare accurate and well-presented documents using standard software.
  • Assist in organising training events, courses, and related materials.
  • Help coordinate logistics for meetings and educational sessions.
  • Maintain and update electronic records and databases.
  • Take meeting minutes, manage IT setup, and follow up on actions.
  • Ensure a high standard of professional administrative service.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, responding or redirecting as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve queries.
  • Maintain positive working relationships through effective communication.
  • Prioritise daily tasks and assist in scheduling team activities.
  • Plan ahead for events and meetings throughout the year.
  • Oversee daily work of others to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain regular contact with team members and external partners.
  • Liaise occasionally with other training bodies and institutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Five GCSE’s (including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths, Grades A* - C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR Higher Qualification
  • 18 months' relevant experience in an administrative role
  • Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment

  • Temporary position
  • 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30am – 4.30pm on Friday.
